Together as a family in Pensacola...

Benssy has graduated from Boot Camp! He graduated on the 8th of August and flew to Pensacola on the 10th. Although it was short, our family had a wonderful weekend together in Chicago. Isaiah and I joined Benssy last week. Temporarily we are staying at a lodge on base while we look for more permanent housing. It looks like there is the possibility to live on base. PLEASE PRAY: I have been told there is housing available for us, Benssy just needs to get a letter from one of his officers confirming the training he will be involved in and how long that will last. Due to schedule conflicts Benssy is having a hard time getting a hold of an officer. Please pray that he'll have time to talk with an officer and quickly be able to get the necessary letter for Isaiah and I to secure the housing on base (that is available!).

Over the last few days we have had time with Benssy each afternoon and we are very thankful for that.

Also, please pray for wisdom and patience as we parent and discipline Isaiah. All the transition and unfamiliarity of things is very difficult for him.

To our friends and family, we love and miss you and hope to talk to you soon!

Christy & Benssy!
Oh, how I miss you guys! I panicked when I realized that you had already left, Christy. :( I have been praying for you all - as you traveled to graduation and as you have been moving to Pensacola. I'm thankful that you are all there safely, and I'm very excited to hear about the prospect of you & Isaiah getting to live on base - I will be praying that it works out for you. :)
much love,
Kat

I'm so glad to have found your blog! Now I can keep in touch with what's going on with you. I saw your Mom on Monday and she's missing you something awful! Says she's cried everyday since you left. I'm hoping she'll get a chance to visit you soon. We miss you guys at church. We're praying that things will go well and the housing will work out. Bookmark my blog so you can "see" us! :)

Hello,
Jenny and I miss the three of you. Our prayer is that the Lord is with you always. Where He places you is where He knows you'll be most advantageous to His grand plan. Because the two of you are just shining rays of His love.
Phil 4:4-7, Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say REJOICE! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition , with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
That's my favorite verse this month, hope you don't mind me sharing it with you. ;)
Greg
